It has been a laid back first week. The flight over was uneventful - I even had an empty seat next to me! Getting over jet lag and just taking care of the baby while Kim recovers is all I have done. My best description of Kim as a mother comes from the scriptures "A joyful mother of children". She is a loving and happy mother.
Thurston John Krok is an unbelievable newborn. First of all I do need to clarify that he looks just like his Dad! I can't find a bit of Kim in him! He eats every 3-4 hours, rarely cries, just kind of whimpers and then sleeps. So far so good!
When I finally decided to venture out and go for a walk, this is what it was like outside, cold and raining. But I went for a walk anyways with my cool poncho.
I was able to attend a session in the Sydney Temple with Ethan's brother and wife, Matt and Jade. They just got married and are so cute together. Ethan's mom, Ann, also attended and gave me a tour of the temple and baptistry.
We went to church Sunday at Bishop Krok's ward. It was fathers day as well as fast sunday. Ethan bore a beautiful testimony during the meeting. Afterwards we went to the Kroks home for dinner and conversation.
Today I went for a long walk with Kim's new sister-in-law, Jade. We walked down the beach and talked about her new life as a married woman. She is only 19 and so sweet. This is a picture of her in the blue sweatshirt with her sister Elise.

My poor mom only got to come to Mesa for my babies. How lucky are you?
Great pictures! Thanks for sharing this special grandma event. I would love to be walking on the beach in Australia with you. Hug the Krok family for me.
How fun. Keep the blog posts coming! I want to be updated every day (if I had my way). I always knew kimber would be a natural mother.
It looks like you are having such a great time. It's no wonder your girls are such great mommies, look at the wonderful example you are. I'm so lucky to have such a great Auntie too. : ) Enjoy your time there and give Kimber loves from us too!
