Ezra Whetton Hansen 7/22/11

After much anticipation, Lucy had #5 child at home! This our 10th Grandchild! For details about the home birth you can read her blog, but for grandma it was all joy and happiness. I got the call at 3am and woke to the sound of a crying baby. It was wonderful!
There is nothing like a new baby fresh from Heaven!
Grandpa now has 6 grandsons! And he likes it!
Lilly was so excited to see the new baby! Beautiful mother and daughter.
Grandpa made us breakfast of eggs deluxe (as only grandpa can make) and bacon.
Elsie had to get in on the cooking too!
Such a precious picture of Big Sister holding Little Brother.
Grandpa is always fun and games. He took off his ace wrap from his knee surgery and wrapped up the grandchildren!

Who wouldn't want to be a Hansen Child with all this fun in the backyard??

Ok, on to David's knee surgery. He has been in pain for months and finally got scheduled for surgery with Dr. Porter to scrape out the arthritis and trim the torn meniscus.

His BFF Richard Slade came to support him.
He's done and in recovery with his nurse Kelly. She was great!
Recovering at home, and not having a good time. But luckily the British open is on so it is non stop golf!!!

Birthday Bash 2011

My birthday this year was full of family and friends. We had a brief unexpected rain storm. The Krok's are visiting from Sydney, Australia so we got to see them and meet Tayce's husband, Josh. Marley is getting ready to go on her mission to Japan in October. As always, the grandchildren are a highlight for me.

Gathering to blow out the candles. Kim made a Texas sheet cake
YUMO!
The kids were never quieter!
Here's Josh, Tayces husband we had never met.

Opening the present from my daughters.

David bought me a new formal dining table.....new to me anyways :)
The girls gave me a Shark steam mop I had been wanting for all my tile floors.
David bought me an iphone. I had been resisting getting one because I was happy with my blackberry. Silly me!!! I love it!!
Then the rain came, all 15 minutes of it. The adults ran for shelter while.....
the kids ran out into the rain!
Grandma with her 9 beautiful grandchildren.
Mom with daughters and soon to be grandchildren.

We ended with sparklers and Pop its!
Such a wonderful day to be surrounded by those I love most.
